ANGIE STANDARD Founder & Co-Owner

In 1994, Angie Standard sat down with Kimberly Stewart to discuss starting a business. The company started as Standard Promotions, but when Kimberly Stewart joined as a partner in the second year the name changed to Promotional Partners. Angie and Kimberly have driven the company from Promotional Partners, a promotional product and graphics company, to KDS, a full service marketing and branding agency, adding interactive, interior design and emerging media into the mix.

Active in the Atlanta Apartment Association and Georgia Apartment Association, Angie volunteers her time to the Atlanta Food Bank, Atlanta Golf and Tennis Committee. A lifelong athlete, she holds a degree in Health and Physical Education and continues to stay active by golfing with her dad, early morning workouts and chasing after her sweet dog, Sadie.

Who needs American Idol? When she was a teenager, Angie dreamed of being a professional singer, and even started an all-girl band that opened for Hank Williams, Jr. and Dolly Parton in Dollywood. During her leisure time, you may find her watching movies or spending time with her family, whom she credits with instilling her with the faith and values that keep her grounded every day.

KIMBERLY STEWART Co-Owner

No one can say that KDS Co-Founder and Owner Kimberly is not determined. Whether it is starting a new life in a strange city, traveling cross country (multiple times) to spend time with her dog or starting a company with her friend 20 years ago, Kimberly does not give up easily. That drive is what has created KDS today, bringing multi-family brands to life.

Prior to establishing KDS, Kimberly founded Wired and Fired, a local paint-your-own-pottery studio. She also gained knowledge of the multi-family business by working as a Sales Executive with a publishing firm for the apartment industry. She holds a degree in Marketing with a minor in Psychology from Auburn University and is active on the Associates Council of the Atlanta Apartment Association. In addition, Kimberly spends time assisting the Atlanta Community Food Bank and The William Breman Jewish Home.

Curled up under her desk you will find her two fur kids, Zoe and Seattle, contributing to the creativity in the office. Kimberly feels very blessed to have wonderful people in her life, and on weekends you can find her on a bike, hiking and spending time with her loved ones.

WALT PHELPS President/Managing Partner

As President and Managing Partner for KDS, Walt is responsible for product development, business expansion and the overall strategy of fresh ideas in a fast paced industry. Always enthusiastic, Walt’s energetic personality and dedication to his work produces exciting results on his projects, such as our recent touchscreen offering.

Prior to joining the KDS team, Walt was the Publisher at JEZEBEL Magazine. However, with almost 15 years of marketing experience in the multifamily industry, KDS came calling and ultimately gained his talents in 2011. Walt holds a B.A. in International Studies, with a minor in Marketing, from The University of South Carolina, and is actively involved with the Georgia Apartment Association, National Apartment Association and Atlanta Apartment Association, where he serves on two committees, one of which benefits the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

In his free time, Walt gathers his partner, dogs, friends and family, and escapes to the Blue Ridge Mountains, where Uncle Walt Walt (as he is known to his niece and nephews) captains boat rides and hikes the trails while strategically avoiding snakes and heights (as much as you possibly can in heavily wooded, mountainous areas).
